We have been blogging Atlanta’s food scene since 2011, which makes us two of the city’s OG bloggers. We started out going to dinner every Friday as a standing date night and wrote about it on our Friday Date Night blog. When the pandemic hit, restaurants came to a halt and so did our blogging. In the post-pandemic world, we found that restaurant service was not very good and we didn’t feel good blogging about it. And we started eating lunch out a lot more than dinner, which didn’t work with the “date night” scenario.

Now we are back, pivoting to a lunch date format, but preserving all of our dinner dates in this blog. The best of both worlds? Atlanta is a brunch/lunch kind of town and the blogging community (now called “social media influencers”) have basically ignored what goes on outside of the perimeter. We guess they are too busy worrying about their next Tik Tok videos. Guess what: we don’t do videos, but we do write about Cobb County and anywhere outside the perimeter. We’re retired and we don’t want to go ITP anyway as there is way too much traffic!
